Intermediate Sewing Part I – Apron

$40The first in a 2-part series for participants who have taken Beginning Sewing or have other basic sewing skills to take on the next step and develop their sewing finesse – while making a beautiful work apron!
In this friendly 3-hour class, students will learn skills to create pockets and use bias tape as a method to finish raw edges of a project. Students will also get to sample using a serger.
Students can feel free to bring their own sewing tools to customize the apron pockets so it will hold exactly what you want to be at the ready while you sew! Items like, but not limited to snips, measuring tape, mini rulers, seam ripper, marking pens and pencils, note pad, and even your cell phone.
All materials will be provided.

About our instructor:
Megan Rogers recently graduated from Ohio University with a Master of Fine Arts in costume technology. She has worked with the Texas Shakespeare Festival, Tantrum Theater, and interned with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. Megan is Captain of the Athens steampunk group Airship Athena. She also works freelance creating costumes and special occasion clothing.
