Athens County Public Library’s Storybook Trails feature librarian-selected picture books that encourage a love of reading (anywhere!) and offer opportunities to get outside, move our bodies, practice literacy skills, and spend time with friends and family. Baileys Trail System is lucky to have one here on the Chauncey Depot Trail. The trail is gravel-surfaced, 48″ wide, almost flat, and a 0.46-mile loop perfect for wagons or strollers. We will be reading One Chicken Nugget by Tadgh Bentley.

Meet at Chauncey-Dover Park Trailhead under the shelter house at 10 with a 15-minute buffer window for gathering and getting started. Come prepared with comfortable shoes, water, and a sense of adventure. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the great outdoors, get some fresh air exercise, and make new friends!

ORCA’s guided hike series in the Wayne National Forest is a hike at your own risk event. The tour guide is a certified Wilderness First Responder who will carry a first aid kit.
