The Castle hosts “Coming Alive” at Mound Cemetery
August 31 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
MARIETTA, Ohio – The Castle museum, (418 Fourth Street), will host “Coming Alive” at Mound Cemetery on Saturday, August 31. The tour is scheduled for 10 a.m.
This year’s “Coming Alive” cemetery tour features a return to Mound Cemetery, but new characters! Each year our “coming alive” tour brings to life several interesting individuals buried in local cemeteries through living history interpreters. These interpreters give voice to the day-to-day life, extraordinary events, or intriguing connections throughout the cemetery. You and your family will be able to listen to historical accounts, ask questions, and walk away with a deeper understanding of our local history.
Tickets are $12 per person. Tickets can be purchased online at https://mariettacastle.org/events or by visiting The Castle’s Carriage House during open hours, Monday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tour begins at Mound Cemetery, located at Fifth and Scammel in Marietta, Ohio. Our tour guide will use an enhanced speaker system to ensure adequate audio levels.
