UpBEAT Food for Thought Program: Medicare 101 and Updates
September 3, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
FreeUpBEAT Food for Thought Program provides free health education workshops and presentations for adults ages 55 and older. The Food for Thought Program continues to meet virtually.
The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) provides Medicare beneficiaries with free, objective health insurance information, one-on-one counseling and educates consumers about Medicare, Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D), Medicare Advantage options and Medicare supplemental insurance. New to Medicare? Have questions about your current coverage? Join us virtually on Thursday, September 3 from 10-11 a.m. for a presentation with Sarah Florimonte, the community liaison for our area. Sarah will provide an overview of Medicare and discuss how the annual open enrollment period from October 7 to December 15 affects all Medicare beneficiaries and how to make sure you have the best, most cost effective coverage in 2021.
OSHIIP provides many resources, including individual counseling, to help beneficiaries compare their Part D drug plans and Medicare Advantage plans. Sarah will provide information to help connect you to those resources. This “Medicare 101” presentation will also allow time for questions. Please join us!
To learn how you can join us virtually (by computer or phone), please call Caitlin Bond, UpBEAT Program Coordinator at (740) 566.4680.
