The Community Makerspace is excited to invite you to Upcycle Fest 2025! Join us Saturday, June 7, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 751 W. Union Street, Athens, Ohio. UpCycle Fest celebrates giving new life to old things–and it’s completely free to attend.

Join us for a wide range of activities for all ages, including:

●  Art Vendors: Check out art and handmade goods from local artists who focus on upcycling and recycling materials!

●  Upcycled Art Show: Artists are invited to submit their work by May 11. Pieces will be on display at the Community Makerspace from May 19 through June 7. Cast your vote for your favorite artwork online @thecommunitymakerspace on Facebook or Instagram or vote in person at UpCycle Fest!

●  Thrifted Fashion Show: Create your best look using provided thrifted items. All outfits will be photographed and entered into a vote to pick a winner!

●  Hands-on art stations: Try out screen printing shirts, rock painting and paper-making with help from local artists.

●  Art demos: Watch local artists demo how to turn wood, 3D print with recycled plastic, and work with reclaimed clay.

●  Live Music!

●  Refreshments and Water Refill Stations available on-site.

Heather Fuston, Manager of the UpCycle Ohio Community Makerspace, calls UpCycle Fest “a celebration of all things upcycled and reused,” and is excited to invite our community to the second year of this event!
