Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today Athens County will receive almost $170,000 for agencies helping crime victims.
More than $50,000 will go to the domestic violence shelter, My Sister's Place, which serves Athens, Hocking and Vinton counties. The remaining $116,000 will go to the criminal justice program in the Office of the Athens County Prosecutor.
The awards are part of statewide grants totaling $17.5 million for victim services.
