Two men are in jail following what Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks is calling the one of the largest seizures of black tar heroin in the county.

Mincks says officers arrested Jeffrey Braun, 25, of Vincent, and Clarence Cage Junior, 54, of Columbus, Friday after witnessing an alleged drug transaction in a shopping center parking lot.

Marietta Police officers reported finding Cage had more than $4,000 with him.

Mincks says Braun was in possession of 38.5 grams of black tar heroin.

Beverly police assisted Braun's arrest.

Cage admitted to officers he sold the heroin to Braun.

Cage is charged with trafficking in heroin and Braun is charged with possession of heroin and a prior count of trafficking in heroin.

Both men are being held in the Washington County Hail pending an appearance in Marietta Municipal Court.
