The Ohio State Highway Patrol is still seeking information on a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian in Athens County earlier this month.
Roger D. Jordan, 57, of Glouster was killed on Pleasanton Road near US Route 33 on May 12.
A witness reported that Jordan was lying in the road when they approached from the opposite direction. As another unknown vehicle approached, the witness blew his horn in an attempt to alert the vehicle that Jordan was lying in the road.
The vehicle struck Jordan, who was on the backside of a hillcrest, and then fled the scene.
A spokesman from the state highway patrol says Jordan was taken to Jagers and Sons Funeral Home on Morris Avenue after he was pronounced dead at the scene.
