City of Athens officials say the Oxbow Bridge is scheduled to reopen Wednesday after undergoing more than three months of renovations.
The bridge has been closed since May 6th when crews started working on the bridge.
The work included the construction of concrete sidewalks, bridge deck, utility vault roofs and approach slabs; installation of the interior railing and reconstruction of approach pavement.
The renovations cost about $3.2 million.
Construction work underneath the bridge will continue and is expected to be completed in October.
