Kasich Announces Job Creation Tax Credits For Twelve Projects

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved twelve projects officials say will create more than 1200 new jobs in Ohio.

Gov. John Kasich announced the approval of the tax credits for the twelve projects Monday.  

In a news release Kasich said the projects are set to create 1,265 jobs and retain 687 jobs statewide. 

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority’s (TCA) reviewed the economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners during its monthly meeting. Together the projects are expected to result in more than $66.4 million in new payroll and $187.4 million in investments across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

Clinical Outcomes Management Systems, LLC dba COMS Interactive (Location TBD) is expected to create 119 full-time positions, generating $8.7 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $1.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project at a to-be-determined location. Clinical Outcomes Management Systems focuses on process and systems that stabilize and improve resident health. The TCA approved a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Rapid Prototype and Manufacturing LLC (Location TBD) expects to create 130 full-time positions, generating $9.5 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $380,000 in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project at a to-be-determined location. Rapid Prototype and Manufacturing is an additive manufacturing company offering rapid prototyping services in addition to design and regulatory consulting, quality control and non-plastic and non-rapid prototyping services. The TCA approved a 50 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

CENTRAL

American Howa Kentucky, Inc. dba AHK Ohio, City of Delaware (Delaware Co.) expects to create 60 full-time positions, generating $1.8 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $2.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Delaware (Delaware Co.). American Howa Kentucky is a manufacturer of dash insulators, headliners and other interior products for the automotive industry. The TCA approved a 50 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

NORTHEAST

Hendrickson USA, LLC dba Hendrickson Trailer Commercial Vehicle Systems, City of Canton (Stark Co.) expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $2.1 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $14.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Canton (Stark Co.). Hendrickson USA develops and manufactures suspension systems and related components for the heavy-duty vehicle industry. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

OMNOVA Solutions Inc., City of Beachwood (Cuyahoga Co.) expects to create 70 full-time positions, generating $4.7 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $18.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Beachwood (Cuyahoga Co.). OMNOVA is an innovator and global provider of emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals and decorative and functional surfaces. The TCA approved a 50 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

NORTHWEST

Edgerton Forge Inc., Village of Edgerton (Williams Co.) expects to create 25 full-time positions, generating $1 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the Village of Edgerton (Williams Co.). Edgerton Forge is a forging business, which is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces. The TCA approved a 35 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SOUTHWEST

CE Power Solutions, LLC, City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 24 full-time positions, generating $1.8 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $3.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.). CE Power Solutions provides electrical systems solutions and serves electric utility power plants, alternative energy facilities, transmission and distribution substations, industrial facilities and institutional facilities. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

iMFLUX Inc., West Chester Twp. (Butler Co.) expects to create 221 full-time positions, generating $17.5 million in additional annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project at a to-be-determined location. iMFLUX is a subsidiary company of P&G with an innovative technology in plastics processing. The TCA approved a 60 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

MINTH North America Inc., City of Lebanon (Warren Co.) expects to create 418 full-time positions, generating $12.6 million in additional annual payroll as a result of the company’s new location project in the City of Lebanon (Warren Co.). MINTH designs, manufactures and supplies body structural parts, trims and decorative parts of passenger vehicles. The TCA approved a 70 percent, 12-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Systecon Inc., West Chester Township (Butler Co.) expects to create 18 full-time positions, generating $810,000 in additional annual payroll and retaining $4.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in West Chester Township (Butler Co.). Systecon designs and manufactures modular chiller plants, boiler plants, pumping system and controls for the heating, ventilating and air conditioning market. The TCA approved a 35 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

WESTERN

PolyOne Corporation, City of Greenville (Darke Co.) expects to create 130 full-time positions, generating $5 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Greenville (Drake Co.). PolyOne (NYSE: POL) is a premier global provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions. The TCA approved a 50 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Riverside Computing, Inc. dba Agil IT and Elevation Healthcare, Butler Township (Montgomery Co.) expects to create 20 full-time positions, generating $940,000 in additional annual payroll and retaining $2.1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new location project in Butler Twp. (Montgomery Co.). Riverside Computing is an IT and operation consulting business for the health care industry. The TCA approved a 35 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
