Ohio returned to its winning ways on Saturday night, when it dismantled the defending national champions, Minot State, 4-2 in the Beavers' home barn.

The victory improved Ohio's record to 21-6-1 on the season, and helped senior Brett Agnew strengthen his stranglehold on the team's position as leading goal scorer and point leader. Agnew scored twice to record his team-leading 16th and 17th goals of the season.

Michael Harris opened the scoring for the Bobcats in the first period, notching his 12th goal on the year.

Patrick Spellacy and Agnew would add goals in the second frame to give Ohio a 3-0 lead on Minot State. Agnew earned his second goal of the contest early in the third period to make it 4-0.

The Beavers would finally put a puck past Aaron Alkema while on the man advantage later in the third period, and eventually score again late to make the score 4-2.

The Bobcats will return home to Athens for their next game, which will be against the CSCHL-leading Iowa State Hurricanes on Friday, Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Bird Arena.
