The Last In Trio Of Cocaine Traffickers Goes To Prison

Kimari Anderson, 35, of North Carolina was sentenced Wednesday to six years in prison for trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine and completes a series of three convictions.

Anderson was part of a trio including Travis Croson and Ebony Saunders who were involved in transporting 198 grams of cocaine through Athens County on the way to Virginia, according to Athens County Prosecutor Keller J. Blackburn. The drugs were detected during a traffic stop.

Saunders was sentenced on January 10, 2014 to six years in prison and Croson was sentenced on January 13 to a four year term.

In addition to the six-year sentence, Athens County Common Pleas Judge L. Alan Goldsberry also gave Anderson a mandatory five-year driver’s license suspension.
