A Nelsonville man convicted of arson was sentenced to 16 years in prison today in Athens County Court.

28-year-old Brian Pitre appeared in court Thursday and was sentenced on the counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated arson, intimidation, and arson.

Athens County Prosecuting Attorney Keller Blackburn said Pitre robbed the victim of his cell phone in June 2013.
