Innovation Center Gets State Money
< < Back to innovation-center-gets-state-moneyThe state of Ohio is investing $500,000 in the Innovation Center at Ohio University.
Democratic 92nd District State Representative Debbie Phillips made the announcement this afternoon.
Phillips says the money will be used to help new high-tech business develop and grow.
"The Innovation Center has an excellent record of helping new high tech companies overcome the obstacles to success and I am pleased that they will be able to enhance their services," said Phillips.
Phillips also said, "The work is key to enhancing job creation and economic sustainability in the region, and I look forward to hearing about many future success as a result of this investment."
The money will help increase services through student employees and a full-time administrative associate.
The center is part of the Edison Technology Incubator program in Ohio.
