Yellow Jackets Look to Buckle Down on Defense
< < Back to yellow-jackets-look-buckle-down-defenseThe Williamstown Yellow Jackets will host the Valley Lumberjacks in the second round of the Class A West Virginia Playoff bracket this Friday night. Both teams escaped their first round matchups by less than a touchdown.
The Yellow Jackets’ defense is looking to redeem themselves after giving up 31 points to the fifteenth seeded Madonna Blue Dons last Friday night. It was the most points Williamstown had given up all season long.
Fortunately for the Yellow Jackets, the offense scored a respectable 38 points, which was lead by senior running back Tre King, who eclipsed over 100 yards both on the ground and through the air.
Coincidentally the one team that both teams have played this season happens to be the Blue Dons. Valley dropped their matchup to Madonna by a score of 37-12 on the opening night of the season.
