Two Men Escape Home Confinement In Wood County
< < Back to two-men-escape-home-confinement-wood-countyWood County Sheriff's deputies are searching for two men who recently escaped from house arrest.
Sheriff Jeff Sandy says Ty Evans and Bradley Bay of Parkersburg escaped from home confinement and are on the run.
It is not believe that the men are connected.
They escaped 10 days apart.
Bay was on house arrest due to charges of Breaking and Entering and Grand Larceny.
And home confinement was a condition of Evans' bond.
Director of Confinement Operations Steve Stephens says in both cases, the men were wearing a monitoring bracelet.
"The one thing about home confinement is that they have a bracelet on. Each one of these bracelets they can cut them off whenever they want to because we don't have a guard just standing there watching them, that's the purpose of the monitoring system. But once they cut the bracelet it alerts us that they have in fact escaped from the bracelet" says Stephens.
Evans is a 50-year-old white male, 5'10'' tall and 225 lbs. with blue eyes and blond hair.
Bay is a 22-year-old white male, 5'9'' tall and 125 lbs. with blue eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wood County Sheriff's Office at 304-424-1945.
