Carl Williams of McConnelsville will be honored by the Ohio State Fair next week.

He will be inducted into the Fair's Hall of Fame.

Williams has been an exhibitor for 37 years.

"Oh, we just like doing it, it's kind of a promotional thing and we've had pretty decent success at it. It's kind of a highlight of a year, I guess you might call it," said Williams.

Williams is a Jersey Premier Breeder and has raised several prize-winning cows.

"My wife showed cattle when she was in high school up there and of course, once I came out of the Army, I showed cattle in the 60s.  My son, my kids all showed cattle at the Ohio State Fair and now my grandchildren are showing cattle at Ohio State Fair, so it's kind of swept down through the years," said Williams.

The induction for Williams and eight others will be July 26.
