Lucasville Man Accused Of Killing Wife’s Boyfriend

A Lucasville man accused of killing his girlfriend's husband is set to appear in court Tuesday.
Jeff Waller, 24, was arrested Monday on charges of murder and tampering with evidence.
Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini says a 911 call was received on Monday around 8:45 p.m. from a female stating that her husband had been shot by her boyfriend at a home on McNamer Brown Road.
Deputies responding to the call observed the suspect walking down the road.
After questioning, the suspect led the deputy to a camper on the road where the shotgun was located.
Meanwhile, deputies at the scene found a man on the porch with a shotgun wound in his abdomen.
Donini says the victim, 33-year-old James Thurman, of Lucasville, was taken by helicopter to Cabell County hospital.
Thurman later died at the hospital around 3 a.m.
Waller is being held without bond and will appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court.
