Half Dozen Burglaries – One Traffic Stop

More than a half-dozen burglaries may have been solved with a simple traffic-stop in Washington County Thursday afternoon.
Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks has reported that Brandon Walters, age 29, of Marietta, was arrested without incident following a traffic stop on Sandhill Road.
Following his arrest Mincks said Walters admitted entering his mother’s residence in April, forcing open a small safe and stealing $1,800.
Walters is believed to have committed more than a half dozen other burglaries and breaking and enterings.
The Sheriff said Walters was wearing shoes that matched footprints at two other crime scenes.
Walters remains incarcerated in lieu of bond in the Washington County Jail on a third degree felony charge of burglary.
