In the TVC-Ohio tonight the Athens Bulldogs match up against the Alexander Spartans in a divisional game. The Bulldogs prevailed tonight on the shoulders of quarterback Joey Burrow and a stout Athens defense, winning this one by a score of 77-13.

The Bulldogs defense started the game by forcing an Alexander fumble on the first drive of the game for the Spartans. The Bulldogs running back Tre Williams started the scoring with an 8-yard run early in the first. The Spartans were then unable to answer back to the Bulldogs attack, giving up another touchdown this time from quarterback Joey Burrow. The Bulldogs then capitalize again off of a 44-yard bomb from Burrow to increase the lead to 20-0 at the end of the first quarter.

The Spartans answer back though with an 8-yard touchdown run by quarterback and Player of the Year candidate Gage Miller to shorten the deficit to 20-7. Athens would answer again with another rushing touchdown by Williams this time from 15 yards out, two point conversion was good to increase the score to 28-7.

The Bulldogs then had another great stop on defense that led to a 16-yard touchdown pass from Burrow to push the lead to 35-7. The Bulldogs then get a big stop with only minutes left in the half and take the ball down the field finished off by an 11-yard touchdown pass from Joey Burrow with the two-point conversion also to give them the commanding lead of 43-7.

Joey Burrow finished the night 16-of-22 for 335 yards and 6 touchdown throws without even playing in the fourth quarter. Tre Williams ran the ball 12 times for 103 yards and three touchdowns. Ryan Luehrman had 4 receptions for 110 yards and 3 touchdowns.
