Cat Rogers Named MAC Offensive Women’s Soccer Player of the Week

Rogers played an important role in two key games for the Bobcats. With playoff hopes on the line, Rogers performed the scoring role for Coach Stacy Strauss’ team.
In the Bobcats 2-1 loss to Toledo, Rogers scored her sixth goal of the season and 12th of her career. The goal put her 10th in Ohio history.
The loss put Ohio in a win-now situation with their MAC Tournament hopes on the line.
Against Northern Illinois, Rogers wasn’t done scoring for the weekend. In the 61st minute, she struck a 25-yard shot that bounced into the back of the net. The goal broke the tie and was ultimately the game winner.
Rogers is now tied for ninth in Ohio Soccer history in goals scored. Her seventh goal of the season is a team high.
This is the second time Rogers has been recognized by the MAC with her previous award coming earlier this season.Rogers and the Bobcats take on Kent State this Thursday with Ohio’s playoff chances on the line.
