Ohio kicker Matt Weller was named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week by league offices Monday. This is the fourth time Weller has won the award this season.

Weller kicked a pair of field goals in Ohio's 28-6 loss at Kent State Friday, his first from 33 yards and his second from 41 yards. He has made 22 of 30 field goal attempts this season to lead the Bobcats with 109 points.

Weller's career with the Bobcats has included several notable accolades. This is the 12th time Weller has earned MAC Player of the Week honors. The redshirt senior hit the 400-career-point threshold Friday. Weller became Ohio's all-time scoring leader on Sep. 8 against New Mexico State.
