Columbia Gas Transmission: We Are Working To Find Cause Of Explosion
< < Back to columbia-gas-transmission-we-are-working-find-cause-explosionColumbia Gas Transmission says it's working tirelessly to find out what happened when a natural gas pipeline exploded in Sissonville this week.
Company chief executive Jimmy Staton issued an open letter to the community Friday.
The letter says Columbia Gas Transmission will continue to help those in need, including providing temporary housing for residents forced out of their homes.
Staton also says the company will work to help federal investigators in pinpointing the cause of the explosion and to make sure the pipeline system is safe.
No one was killed in the blast and fire that damaged an 800-foot section of Interstate 77. Four homes burned and collapsed, while five others were damaged.
