Son Indicted On Murder Charge

A grand jury has indicted the son of a Meigs County man found dead in his home with murder.
Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney Colleen Williams says the grand jury indicted James E. Gardner, 40, on aggravated murder and robbery charges.
Gardner is accused of killing his father, James W. Gardner, 67, in his Middleport home and then stealing his truck, four-wheeler, and credit cars back in November.
Gardner is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
