Most major highway routes around Ohio are clear and free from the accidents and slowdowns reported amid a winter storm.

Department of Transportation snow plow crews have been out on roads where blowing and drifting snow accumulated. They've also been clearing Wednesday's piles from shoulders and medians.

Ohio's airports continued to see a few delayed and canceled flights Thursday, mainly because of rough weather in the Northeast. But the numbers were far fewer than Wednesday.

The storm system has been linked to 16 deaths nationwide, including one in Ohio after an accident on southbound Interstate 71 near Cincinnati.
