Division Of Forestry Seeking Public Opinion On Management Plan
< < Back to division-forestry-seeking-public-opinion-management-planThe Ohio Division of Forestry is asking the public to take a look at a woodland plan for the Hocking Hills area and provide their feedback.
The proposed plan is designed to assist woodland owners in an area along US 33 that includes Logan, Berne Township and Sugar Grove.
“We want to give landowners options that increase the benefits they enjoy from their woodlands while providing an area-wide framework to address forest loss, fragmentation and other threats to forest health," Division of Forestry chief Robert Boyles said.
The woodland management plan is voluntary and for participants who own woodlands of two to 10 acres and for cabin owners.
Comments will be accepted through February first.
The draft plan is available online.
