Warrants Issued For Suspects In Cabell County Shooting
< < Back to warrants-issued-suspects-cabell-county-shootingUPDATE: 1/4/13 @ 10:15 a.m. West Virginia State Police have issued warrants for the arrest of two men wanted in connection with the death of a Huntington man.
Christopher Carter, 25, died Wednesday night in the hospital after suffering three gunshot wounds. Troopers said Carter was shot inside the apartment of an acquaintance at the Forest Bluff Apartments complex in the East Pea Ridge area of Cabell County.
Investigators are searching for Terry “Boots” Morton and Tyerus “Tank” Hayes, both from Detroit. The shooting is believed to be drug related.
A third man, Jonathon Yeager, 24, was arrested Thursday morning. He faces a drug possession charge after investigators found heroin, powdered cocaine, digital scales, ledgers, and other drug paraphernalia in his home.
No charges will be filed against the person who lived in the apartment where the shooting happened.
A man shot in the East Pea Ridge area of Cabell County has died.
West Virginia State police said Christopher Carter, 25, died after being shot three times at a home on Beech Drive Wednesday night.
Carter died after being taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.
Police said they are looking for three men in connection with the shooting which they believe is drug related.
