Historic Amount Of Heroin Seized In Meigs County
< < Back to historic-amount-heroin-seized-meigs-countyMiddleport police officers have arrested four people in what they are calling the largest heroin seizure in Meigs County.
Chief Bruce Swift said an undercover sting operation Sunday night recovered approximately ten grams of the heroin.
Swift said the recovered drugs were Black Tar heroin.
Swift estimated the street value at between $3,000 and $4,000.
Along with the heroin, police also seized $1,200 in cash and a vehicle.
Rochelle Gloeckner, 25, was charged with one count of possession, and one count of trafficking, both second degree felonies.
Andrew Hughes, 33, was charged with trafficking, a second degree felony.
Julia Bradford and Ricky Laudermilt are both 21, and both charged with one count of complicity, a second degree felony.
Swift said he believes heroin is making a comeback because officers are seeing more of it.
