Troopers seized more than 1,000 Oxycodone pills during a traffic stop in Scioto County.

Lieutenant Karla Taulbee of the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says troopers arrested Dennis Hurd, 56 and Steven Washington, 25, both of South Point; and William Whitfield, 28 of Huntington.

Taulbee says the three men are charged with possession of Oxycodone and drug trafficking.

Troopers pulled their car over for a traffic violation Tuesday night and observed what they believed to be a large bag of pills.

Taulbee estimates the pills have a street value of more than $24,000.

The three men are being held in the Scioto County Jail.
