A domestic situation in Glouster forces Nelsonville police officers and Athens County sheriff's deputies to respond to Nelsonville Elementary School.

According to a post on Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly's Facebook page, central communications received a call from a concerned resident saying that her boyfriend had left with their young children following a dispute.

Nelsonville-York school administrators received an alert stating that there was a weapon involved.

Deputies interviewed the woman involved who told oficers her boyfriend did not have a weapon.

Deputy John Morris stopped the suspect's vehicle on Columbus Road in Athens.

The case file will be forwarded to the Glouster Police Department and Children's Services because the Glouster officer on duty was in court in Athens at the time of the incident.

Kelly says no student was in harm's way during the incident.
