New ‘Safe Place’ Locations Added In Three Ohio Counties
< < Back to new-safe-place-locations-added-three-ohio-countiesTroubled youth in southeast Ohio now have new places to go for help.
Sojourners Care Network has expanded its Safe Place locations by eleven.
Director of Communications Shelly Horvath says the purpose of Safe Place sites is to aid runaway youth.
The new sites are located in Nelsonville, Gallipolis, Chillicothe and Ross County.
There are now a total of 45 sites in seven counties.
Horvath says youth can recognize the sites by posted yellow signs and says the locations are trained to call Sojourners when young people come for help.
Youth can go to a safe place site for any reason.
