Firefighter Injured During Chillicothe Warehouse Fire
< < Back to firefighter-injured-during-chillicothe-warehouse-fireAuthorities say one firefighter has been injured battling a blaze at a central Ohio warehouse, which is expected to continue burning overnight.
About 60 firefighters from as many as 13 departments responded to the fire that broke out at an industrial park around 3 p.m. Wednesday near Chillicothe in Ross County.
The injured firefighter suffered smoke inhalation and is expected to be OK.
Crews say there were no fire hydrants in the area, so they had to truck in water from elsewhere to fight the fire.
The blaze apparently started when a burning piece of cardboard flew into the paper warehouse in the Schooley Station Industrial Park.
