< < Back to fmr-marietta-city-schools-employee-pleads-guilty-theftA former Marietta City Schools employee could face jail time for stealing more than $145,000 from the school district.
Former Assistant Treasurer Barbara Mincks changed her plea to guilty to one count of theft Monday.
Prosecutors say she wrote herself checks and embezzled thousands of dollars.
The court ordered her to pay full restitution and sign over her retirement that totals between $85,000 and $100,000.
Mincks will be sentenced on May 21 and faces three years in jail.
The judge said community control is a possibility since it is her first offense and jail space is limited.
