Wayne National Forest Waives Fees Temporarily
< < Back toThe Wayne National Forest is offering free camping and recreation activities for two days.
Forest supervisor Anne Carey says Friday and Saturday are "fee-free" in observance of National Get Outdoors Day. The 241,000-acre forest in southeast Ohio has more than 360 miles of trails, along with campgrounds, picnic shelters and swim areas. There still will be a $9 reservation fee for those who want to reserve a site online.
Carey says in a statement from the Nelsonville, OH, forest service office that the free days are a great way for people to get a taste of outdoors adventure.
