“We have no information to suggest the suspect is currently in the Athens Campus area, but in an abundance of caution we are sharing this information with our community,” OU Police Chief Andrew Powers wrote in an email.
Athens Police say Emmanuel Arocho is a suspect in the robbery of the Peoples Bank on East State Street that happened around 3:30 Monday afternoon. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Powers would not elaborate with further details about the nature of the connections.
OUPD says if anyone sees Arocho on campus they should call them or dial 911.
