The Ohio Bobcats saw their first live action of fall camp Wednesday with an intrasquad scrimmage at Peden Stadium.

Ohio’s defense won the day stopping the offense on all but one drive late in the scrimmage. The ‘Cats’ offense saw approximately 13 drives but struggled to find a way to finish drives and score.

The Bobcat defense forced two three-and-outs to start the scrimmage and forced a turnover on the third drive of the day when linebacker Brandon Atwell picked off J.D. Sprague.

In Ohio’s second to last offensive series, quarterbacks Derrius Vick and Greg Windham propelled the offense on a ten-play, 70-yard drive that was capped with a corner fade touchdown pass from Windham to freshman wideout Cedric Brown.

Standing out on offense was the running back group including Daz Patterson, who ripped off a few explosive runs, freshman Dorian Brown, and former linebacker Tim Edmond, who saw 13 carries on the afternoon.

The Green and White get back to two-a-day practices Thursday morning and have another scrimmage on Aug. 20. The ‘Cats continue to practice in preparation for their matchup with ninth-ranked Louisville on Sunday, Sept. 1.
