Icy Road Conditions Cause Fatal Crash In Hocking County
< < Back to icy-road-conditions-cause-fatal-crash-hocking-countyThe Ohio State Highway Patrol released a report Tuesday of a fatal car accident along State Route 180, which was apparently caused by icy road conditions.
Craig A. Rush, 53, of Laurelville, lost control of his Honda Accord at approximately 10:00 a.m. Tuesday as he was going eastbound on SR180, according to the report.
Rush spun and hit the front end of the Buick Lesabre of Vicki L. McAllister, 59, of Rockbridge, who was traveling westbound. Rush's car then went off the left side of the highway.
Rush was pronounced dead at the scene. McAllister was transported to Hocking County Community Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The road was closed for approximately two hours Tuesday morning.
