The "Sounds of the Season," a Logan-based instrumental group formed to share the music of the holidays, will continue its 21st and final season on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Hocking Hills United Methodist Church, East Campus, at 7 p.m.

Founded in 1982 by Logan High School Director of Bands Jeff North, the 70-member ensemble is comprised of area band directors, college musicians, Logan High School Alumni and select Logan High School Students.

The group will be performing its final concert series and ending its biennial tradition after 31 years of musical excellence. Darlene Grueniger of Logan will be the featured vocalist.

There will be two shows this year. In addition to the Hocking Hills Methodist Church performance, the band also will perform Friday, Dec. 20 at Ebenezer Baptist Church beginning at 7 p.m.

All performances are free of charge and open to the public. Donations and free-will offerings will be accepted.

All proceeds raised will be used for expenditures for the ensemble and also given to the Logan Marching Chieftains for their next trip fund.
