Emergency Home Heating Help Available
< < Back toHocking-Athens-Perry Community Action still is scheduling appoinments to apply for the Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program, which began Nov. 1.
The program is designed to help income-eligible households facing an emergency situation to maintain and/or restore electric or gas service, or provide a build fuel.
An emergency situation is defined as having a disconnect notice, or having less than a 10-day supply of bulk fuel. This assistance is available only once per heating season — November through March.
Appointments can be scheduled through a telephone voice response system at 1-866-487-1362, which is available on weekdays from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
