Coolville Class Gets Grant
< < Back to coolville-class-gets-grantA $1,014 grant has been awarded to Coolville Elementary School by the Ora E. Anderson Conservation Fund, according to the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio.
The grant will be used by Christopher Sidote to take his sixth-grade class to visit The Wilds in Guernsey County to learn about the conservation efforts that have taken place there, including the history of the land itself and the associated reclamation efforts.
The Ora E. Anderson Conservation Fund was created in 2007 to honor the legacy of naturalist Ora Anderson, and to provide a permanent source of charitable funding for conservation activities and programs.
Tax-deductible gifts can be sent to the fund in care of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, P.O. Box 456, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764. Donations can also be made online at www.appalachianohio.org.
