Two of the top visionary artists in the nation will be making an appearance at the Family Roots Festival in Glouster in June.

Alex and Allyson Grey will be at the festival at Smoke Rise Ranch on June 19. The two painters are best known for their work creating the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (soon to be housed in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.).

Alex’s paintings meld anatomy and consciousness. In addition to his works in his gallery, his artwork has graced the covers of many popular musicians’ albums — most notably the rock band Tool.

Other artists to use his art for albums include The String Cheese Incident, Meshuggah, Beastie Boys and Nirvana.

The Greys will join several artists and musical acts performing at Family Roots Fest, including Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band. Other bands to perform include Greenhouse Lounge, Spikedrivers, Adam’s Ale, Sugar Kayne with Indovisual, Jahman Brahman, Glostik Willy, Broccoli Samurai, Flatland Harmony, The Ark Band, New Old Cavalry and more.

The four-day music and arts festival runs June 19-22 and features three nights of overnight camping.
