The Tun Abdul Razak Chair, named for the second prime minister to Malaysia, is the first university chair in the nation to have full support from a foreign country. It has created a stable link between American students and professionals and Malaysian students and professionals, with means to create a cultural understanding and provide better educational opportunities between the two countries.
As the 14th chairholder, Dr. Ashari took her place summer of 2011 at Ohio University.
