More than 100 families in need showed up to receive bags of food from the Facing Hunger Foodbank Wednesday.

The mobile pantry set up at the west end Goodwill in Huntington.

6,000 pounds of food was distributed to those in need.

The need for food is a year long need and not just a concern during the holidays, according to Sasha Hart with the food bank.

Every family received about 55 pounds of food and had to provide a proof of residency in Cabell County.

This was just one of several mobile pantries the food bank has held this week.
