W.Va Regulators Say Firm Had No Permits For Tanks
< < Back to wva-regulators-say-firm-had-no-permits-tanksWest Virginia regulators have cited a Tyler County company for having storage tanks at its natural gas well site without the proper permits.
The state Department of Environmental Protection said Wednesday it has issued a violation notice to Jay-Bee Oil & Gas Inc.
The DEP says the drilling site in the Big Run area and the well pad include four natural gas wells in the initial production phase. The DEP says air quality permits are required because six storage tanks are being used to collect natural gas liquids and can produce vapors.
Among other things, the notice requires the company to provide dates when the tanks were installed and put into operation. The company also must state the amount of natural gas liquids produced since operations started.
