Nelsonville Fest, OU Media Arts & Studies, WOUB Present New Festival Stage

Co-produced by WOUB Public Media and Ohio University's School of Media Arts and Studies, The Gladden House Sessions will feature short interviews and stripped-down acoustic performances by artists at the festival.
Video clips of the performances will be taped in front of an audience on the front porch of the two-story Gladden House log cabin, part of Robbins Crossing Historical Village at Hocking College. The Gladden House is located next to the popular No-Fi Cabin, where artists perform unamplified in an old one-room schoolhouse.
Ohio University School of Media Arts and Studies Instructor Josh Antonuccio will be hosting this new stage, interviewing NMF artists and giving them a chance to perform their material.
Antonuccio is working with a five person team, made up of Ohio University MDIA students, who will shoot video, record audio and handle all of the logistics associated with running a festival stage.
"This new curated performance space will give artists an opportunity to connect with their fans in a more direct way and allow concertgoers to experience these artists in a relatable context," he said.
Nelsonville Music Festival organizers have worked closely with Antonuccio and WOUB Arts & Entertainment Content Manager Bryan Gibson to make this a unique experience for both festivalgoers and a wider internet audience.
The Gladden House Sessions will run Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1. Hours are 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Video clips will be posted at www.woub.org/arts.
