On this series of programs from  Conversations from Studio B, Jackie Wolf follows her mother's progression through lung cancer treatment to end-of-life treatment. In the first program from 2009, The Experience of Lung Cancer, Jackie talks with her brother Kevin Wolf, and their mother Nancy Wolf. They discuss their mother's personal experience with lung cancer; and Kevin's experience, as the only one of her four children living nearby, being on constant call for their mother's treatments. The second program, End-of-Life Decisions from 2010, is about End-of-Life Decisions when it became clear their mother was dying. The final program is titled American Way of End-of-Life Care, about an article co-authored by Jackie Wolf and Kevin Wolf discussing the overtreatment in the U.S. at the end of life and the harm it does to individual patients, their families, and the health care system as a whole, using their mother's story as a case study.
