Ohio Man Dies After Touching Live Power Line
< < Back to ohio-man-dies-after-touching-live-power-lineAuthorities say a central Ohio man died after he touched a live power line while giving a child a ride in a bucket truck.
Police in Circleville, south of Columbus, say 36-year-old Jeremiah Webb was using the truck owned by his employer, Seyfang Electric, to take an 11-year-old friend of his daughter's for a ride in the bucket when he came into contact with a live power line on Sunday night.
Webb fell out of the bucket from 30 feet in the air and onto a parked car. He died at a Columbus hospital a few hours later. The girl was not injured but was stuck in the lift for about 40 minutes.
Investigators aren't sure whether Webb was electrocuted or died from the fall. An autopsy was planned.
