Ohio Volleyball’s Karin Bull Receives MAC Weekly Award
< < Back to ohio-volleyballs-karin-bull-receives-mac-weekly-awardJunior middle blocker Karin Bull led the Ohio Bobcats defensively last weekend in two wins over the Mid-American Conference West Division's top two squads, Western Michigan and Northern Illinois, at the Convocation Center. Her efforts at the net earned her this week’s MAC-East Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Ohio improved to 10-0 in Mid-American Conference play and extended its winning streak to 11 games. Bull led Ohio above the net with 11 total blocks – two solo, nine assisted – and ranked second on the team with 20 kills over the two matches.
Bull totaled double-digit kills for the second time in the last four matches against the Broncos, piling up 12, while recording just three attack errors in 23 attempts for a .391 hitting percentage. She also racked up a match-high seven total blocks with two solo and five assisted.
She chipped in eight kills to go along with a match-high four assisted blocks, and a dig against the Huskies.
The 2014 Preseason All-MAC East Division pick has posted five or more total blocks on eight occasions this season and currently leads the MAC with 88 total blocks and 1.25 blocks per set.
Bull also ranks third on the squad in kills with 144 and second in hitting percentage with a .331 clip.
She and the Bobcats take the floor on Thursday to take on the Kent State Golden Flashes on the road.
