Nelsonville Seeks To Renew Street Levy

Nelsonville residents will be asked to support a 2-mill renewal street levy this election.
The five-year levy generates $92,958 per year and would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $63 a year.
“When trying to revitalize a city, one of the most important parts is infrastructure,” said Eddie VanBibber. “Streets are very important.”
VanBibber said the street levy is necessary to fund some upcoming street projects in the city such as Washington from Jefferson to Cable Alley, and Chestnut Street.
“This will help feed some money for those projects,” he said.
