Judge Grim To Retire From Municipal Court In 2015

Athens County Municipal Court Judge William Grim says he’ll be retiring at the end of his current term.
Grim’s intended retirement date is Dec. 31, 2015. In a news release Grim, who is eligible for a third term, said it “was time to pass the torch to a new generation of judges.” He was first elected to the Municipal Court bench in 2003 and re-elected in 2009.
The Athens News is reporting Todd Grace, who is a local lawyer, announced he will run for Grim’s seat which is up for election in 2015.
The newly elected judge will begin a new six-year term on January 1, 2016.
